A DERWENTSIDE couple reckon their golden wedding tops the lot.
For Ivan and Jean Horsley enjoyed the delights of China, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore before they had their ultimate thrill - a night with Consett Citizens Choir. The couple have been keen members of the choir for 37 years.
Mr Horsley, 76, said: "We had a dinner and dance with more than 150 guests and the choir performed a short programme."
The couple met after Mr Horsley was demobbed from the RAF in 1947, when he returned to work for the Consett Iron Company.
They were married in 1950 in Consett and went on to live in Sunderland, Chester-le-Street and finally Ponteland
