INSPECTORS who keep an eye on Hartlepool youngsters have earned a vote of confidence.
The Government's social services inspectorate watchdog announced 70 per cent of organisations in the town providing day care for children, aged under eight, were very satisfied with the work of the inspectors who ensure standards of care are met.
The survey is part of a programme of inspections and covered childminders, day nurseries, creches, playgroups and holiday schemes.
Areas of improvement or development were also highlighted, including creating a quality system for the content and style of reports, and making sure the complaints procedure was readily understood and accessible by staff.
