YOUNG people who love music are being given the chance to join a modern dance music workshop.
Cleveland Arts has organised the workshop with funding from the Department for Education and Employment, and the Neighbourhood Support Scheme as part of its Seen and Heard youth project.
Twelve three-hour workshops will be held for 14 to 19-year-olds and will include all dance styles including drum and bass, techno and hip-hop.
Included in the workshops will be courses in drum programming, sampling and sequencing.
The workshops will start next Thursday, from 1pm to 4pm, at Caffe Mango, 440 Linthorpe Road, Middlesbrough, and will then be held twice a week.
Bob Beagrie, from Cleveland Arts, said: "No formal music training is required so simply bring yourself and your ideas."
The course will be supplemented with written notes along with sources of further information and help.
