NUNS, Baywatch lifeguards and one-legged chimpanzees took to the stage in a sponsored improvisation by Jack Drum Youth Theatre members on Monday at Crook's Elite Hall to raise money for group leader Brian Lomsdale, who has been accepted into the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts.
Brian, from Crook, starts at the academy this year but needs sponsorship.
Julie Ward, who runs the group, said: "The youth theatre raised £150, which is quite significant for a small group."
