HISTORIC vehicles from across the region were on display at a rally at the weekend.

The seventh annual Kirkleatham Rally saw more than 200 exhibitors bring their prized engines to the town's Old Hall Museum.

Steam traction engines, classic cars, motorbikes and a variety of commercial vehicles came to the event organised by the Kirkleatham Vehicle and Engine Rally Association.

Charities represented at the event included the local Katie Trust, which offered visitors the chance to win a piece of hallowed Wembley stadium turf.

On Saturday evening some of the traction engines took to the road for a short run around the Redcar west area.

Visitors who used the park and ride scheme from the showfield arrived at the event in style on classic buses and steam traction engines.
