Middleton St George still lead the table despite their game at Eryholme being cancelled. Aldbrough St John are second after defeating Rockliffe Park by five wickets. The home team made a useful 154 for seven which included 37 by Fidel and 46 not out from Wheeler while for Aldbrough Wilson took three for 45 and Mathias three for 59. Responding Aldbrough were guided home by Wilson who top scored with 57 in a total of 158 for five. Garbutt claimed three of five wickets to fall for 64 runs.

Weardale were all out for 47 when they visited Colburn for whom 18-year-old Adam Ward produced seven wickets for 24 runs in 9.1 overs. Colburn were made to work for their victory but secured the necessary 48 runs in 13.2 overs despite conceding six wickets, four of them to Ian Tennick for 18 runs.

Raby Castle won by seven wickets when they visited Heighington who managed 124 with contributions down the order. Jones bowled a good end for Raby Castle returning seven for 62 and when the visitors replied they conceded three wickets as Dent scored 38 and both Poole and Brennan added 28 apiece.

Barningham were just one run short of 200 in defeating Gilling West. Blackburn and Walker both scored half-centuries and for the visitors Harwood took four wickets for 92 runs as he shared the attack during the afternoon with one other bowler, Wilson.

Responding Gilling West managed 60 as Walker claimed three for 13.

In Division B Cockerton still lead following their 77 runs victory at King James. Rawlings (53) and Simpson (48) led Cockerton to 205 for seven with four wickets falling to Rowley for 85 runs.

King James were sent back for 128 and Berry top scored with 50 while for Cockerton Carroll had three for 21 and Lee three for three.

Heighington reached 156 for eight with half the wickets going to Gamack for 52 runs before Ingleton won by four wickets when the former Dawdon batsman Stuart Dawson top scored with 37. Fawcett picked up three for 65 in the Heighington attack.

Middleton in Teesdale made 225 for five as Cliffe replied with 198 for nine.

Coatesworth (64no) and Lee-Shield (84) were the main scorers for the visitors while for Cliffe Rogerson hit 68 and Knight 31 in 198 for nine. Watson and Coatesworth both captured four wickets for Middleton in Teesdale.

After totalling 165 for six which included 44 by Little, 37 from Smith and 30 by Laverick, Lands dismissed Houghton for 62. Davey took five for 29 runs and Laverick captured four for six runs.

Dales posted 144 for eight thanks to Broadbent (56) and Simpson (41) while for Brompton-on-Swale Coultish took four for 25 and Layburn three for 63.

Replying Brompton were all out for 113 and Frankland was top scorer with 33 while for Dales Hutchinson produced seven for 39.

In Division C Aldbrough St John defeated Rockliffe Park by three wickets when Simpson scored 52 of his team's 150 for seven. Whale (44) earlier led Rockliffe to 149 for nine.

Despite scoring 189 for seven, which included 53 not out by Widdall and 35 from Salmon.

Cockerton lost by seven wickets to Catterick Village whose match winners was Carter with 61.

East Cowton ended with 166 for six when Woodcock carried his bat for 50 and Cowan made 40 not out. Trimdon Colliery and Deaf Hill managed 97 replying as Raw captured seven for 44.

Middleton St George defeated Lands by seven wickets when Nadim carried his bat for 74 and Ayub contributed 44 to a total of 150 for three after Fielding (54) and Little (35) had given Lands a reasonable total.

In Division D Spennithorne and Harmby finished with 146 with Norman Sturman taking four for 30 and Bean three for 49 for Haughton who were then dismissed for 50 as Molyneux captured five wickets for 17 runs.

Derek Soakell top scored with 65 in the Bishop Auckland total of 172 against Blackhall in division two. Bell claimed five for 49 for Blackhall, who were all out for 140 when Harry Smurthwaite claimed three for ten and Budd took four for 18.

Hudd and Youll shared the wickets when Redcar bowled out Darlington RA for 65 before going on to win by nine wickets when Alan Cunningham carried his bat for 41.

Alsbrook with six for 43 was in good form for Richmondshire who restricted Redcar to 127 for nine and in response Richmond were all out for 64 as Brown took three for 15 and Rowland three for ten.

Grainge with a top scoring 91 led Great Ayton to 204 despite Bailey claiming five for 39 and Slade three for 87. Thornaby replied with 202 for five which included 74 by Kirton, 34 from Bailey and 30 apiece by Gibson and Butler.

A half-century by Smith was a feature of the Marton innings which ended on 125 before Saltburn went on to win by five wickets when Pybus scored 37.

On Sunday Bishop Auckland were in a reasonable position on 152 for seven when their game with Wolviston was abandoned because of rain. Robson (30) Smith (31) and Brennan (32) all made useful contributions.

Lazenby was just nine runs short of a century in the Redcar total of 202 for six and Richmondshire responded with 134 for six of which Keith Swainston made 38 not out and Danny Dale 45.

In division three Martin Skirving hit 12 fours in 105 and Gavin Readman returned the magnificent figures of eight for 76 from 24.3 overs when Seaton Carew totalled 192 for nine at home to Redcar who were 59 for two when rain stopped play.

Yarm defeated Northallerton when Wilson scored 54 and Bramber (34) out of a total of 184 for nine before Northallerton replied with 121 all out.

Ross Watmor recorded 13 boundaries in 96 and David Ward had six fours in 35 when Middlesbrough made 250 for seven against Barnard Castle at Acklam Park. After Sajid Hussain had returned three for 21 from 9.4 overs and with the Barnard Castle total on 85 for six the game had to be abandoned.

Saltburn ran out four-wicket winners following a low scoring game at Hartlepool who totalled 69 and at Guisborough, Stokesley were 49 for two when the rain intervened. Earlier opening batsman Colin Weatherhead scored 48 and Gary Coates 32 not out in the Guisborough total of 168 for nine while for Stokesley James Umpleby had three for 14 from 18 overs and Charlie Andrew took three for 38 from 15 overs.

In division four Darlington RA comfortably defeated Thornaby who were all out for 128 which included 44 by Shaun Edwards. Scratherd took four for 48 from 13.3 overs and both Percival and Derbyshire claimed three wickets apiece for Darlington RA who, batting first, ended 162 for eight from 50 overs when Singh added 55 and Stephen Muldowney returned three for 50 from 14 overs in the home attack.

After Philip Wilson had taken three for 33 and Chris Hall four for 44 restricting Castle Eden to 149, including 60 by Robson, Marton went on to win by one wicket when Dan Conway scored 47 and Hall added a valuable 26.

The game between Richmondshire and Darlington finished in a draw. Brenkley with six for 63 and Fleming with four for 11 pegged Darlington to 111 in 38.1 overs and replying Richmondshire were 71 for eight as Ian Hunter claimed four for three in an incredible spell of 14 overs, 11 of which were maidens
