A LOCAL bobby is looking for good citizens to lock up in police prison cells for a night in an effort to help out another emergency service.
Guisborough-based Sgt Andy Wills is looking for volunteers to be sponsored to spend a night in unused cells at Loftus Police Station to raise cash to buy a motorbike for the ambulance service.
After spending the night in the cells, Sgt Wills is treating all his 'prisoners' to a full English cooked breakfast.
Sgt Wills and his colleagues believe a motorbike would help emergency services covering the rural East Cleveland and A171 Guisborough to Whitby road to reach accidents quicker.
So far, enough people have volunteered to raise almost £3,000 but the motorbike costs £8,500.
Volunteers can contact Sgt Wills on (01642) 302019
