Darlington boxer Michael Hall maintained his 100 per when he won his twelfth professional fight on Sunday.

The light-welterweight beat the more experienced Lee Molineux after a unanimous points decision in Nottingham and he is now setting his sights on fighting in his hometown.

"Hopefully it will happen. My manager, John Ingle, wants me to show the town what I can do."

It is hoped the fight will take place within the next six to eight weeks when Michael will have the opportunity to impress boxing fans in the North-East.

He has been fighting away from home since moving to Sheffield two years ago to train under the guidance of renowned coach, Brendan Ingle.

Commenting on the supporters who travelled to Nottingham to cheer him on Sunday Michael said: "It was brilliant. I walked out and they were all shouting, I wasn't used to it.

"It was an achievement really, getting all those people down there, because it was quite a long way to go."

Molineux has had more than double the number of professional fights Hall has had with 26 behind him compared to Hall's 12, but experience clearly wasn't enough.

"He was a bit more experienced than me.

"I fought him in my second pro. fight and this time he was a bit more cagey, a bit more defensive.

"Brendan was well pleased with me because I stuck to what I was supposed to do.

"He had another boxer there but he was standing toe to toe, slugging it out, giving the crowd what they want which is not the way to do it."

"I did what he told me to do so didn't get a rollocking like he did."
