SPORTING youngsters in Guisborough decided they could not wait for next month for a taste of the Olympics so they decided to hold their own competition early.
Three teams took part in a mini-Olympics on Thursday at the King George V Playing Fields in Guisborough.
The teams were made up of children from Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council's summer playscheme which has attracted more than 1,000 youngsters and comes to the end of its four-week run this week.
The teams came from Grangetown, Guisborough and Charltons
