AN inquest was due to be held today into the death of North-East widow Jane Ploughman who died weeks after being robbed.
Mrs Ploughman, 74, was found dead in bed at her home in Seaham, County Durham, on New Year's Day.
Mrs Ploughman was knock-ed to the ground and robbed of her bag outside her bungalow in Jasper Avenue, Deneside, on December 13 last year, 19 days before her death.
She suffered knee and hand injuries and became scared to venture outside. It is thought the inactivity contributed to her death.
Police launched a large-scale hunt for Mrs Ploughman's attacker, but no one has been caught
