THE headteacher at Chester-le-Street's Park View Community School said his sixth formers once again excelled in their examination achievements.
Alan Thompson said those sitting A-levels maintained the school's three-year average points score of 19, the equivalent of CCC in grade terms.
He described as spectacular the results of Paul Clarke and Michael Worthington, who both achieved four grade A passes in chemistry, maths, physics and general studies.
Meanwhile, the school's GNVQ "cohort" achieved a record year, with five of the 23 candidates gaining distinctions, and another 11 receiving merits, out of an overall pass rate of 96 per cent.
One of the 23, Man Fong Chui, not only achieved a distinction, but added six additional units, which Mr Thompson said was a truly remarkable effort.
"With results like these, it is no wonder the school is delighted to announce that all of its students who were seeking courses in higher education have now been placed, most in their first or second choice establishment."
Mr Thompson said: "I'm delighted to see hard work get its just reward.
"Once again, our students have shown their worth. We wish them every success in their futures."
