THERE will be two extra activities at the Margrove Park Heritage Centre, east Cleveland, in the last week of the summer holidays, because the centre's other activities have proved to be an outstanding success.
The centre's theme for the summer has been American Indian arts and crafts to coincide with the Cleveland Fibre Arts exhibition The Earth Is Our Mother.
On Wednesday, children will have the chance to make their own tom-tom drums from a flowerpot, to beat out a sun dance rhythm.
The sessions run from 10am to noon and 2pm to 4pm.
The last session will be a dream catchers session next Sunday, from 2pm until 4pm.
Children will be making dream catchers, which catch the evil spirits that send nightmares, enabling people to sleep in peace.
All activities are free, but youngsters must be accompanied by an adult.
