Guisborough'S NYSD cham-pionship hopes suffered a setback when they lost at home to struggling Normanby Hall on Saturday.
Graham Shaw had a recurrence of a knee problem and had to temporarily retire. Incoming batsman Ramage was given out first ball followed by Clifford who was dismissed an over later. Skipper Dunn 15 and Graham Murray steadied with 21, but professional Towse was needlessly run out.
Shaw returned to the crease and made top score with 33. May helped with 19 but Guisborough were eventually all out for 126. Steve McNicholas bowled well for Normanby returning five for 40.
The visitors' Mark Croft carried his bat for 82 to earn his side a seven-wicket victory.
Guisborough entertain Redcar tomorrow and on Monday travel to Darlington.
