CHILDREN took part in a special workshop on Tuesday to grow their own hair.
The workshop was one of a series with model-making themes of earth, air, fire and water, which are being organised at Kirkleatham Old Hall Museum, near Redcar, in conjunction with Saltburn artists Helen Gaunt and Derek Mosey.
The heads were made from old tights, other recycled materials and water, so that grass seeds could be grown as hair.
Malcolm Steele, a museum attendant said: "It was brilliant, very messy, but fun. All the kids who attended really enjoyed themselves."
There are also sessions on Tuesday, for children to make their own sundial and Thursday, to make a balancing dolphin toy.
