NOT even the fastest goal of the day could secure all three points as Pools failed to capitalise on a poor Exeter side that saw them miss a penalty and grab one back from a set piece.
We need to kill off the weaker teams if we are to go one better than last season's play-offs. This was two points lost, not a point gained. Here's to three against Cheltenham.
Steve Sharp,
Very disappointed with the result. I would have settled for a point before, but Exeter didn't look a very good side. If we want to be up there, then surely we need to kill teams off like these.
The first half was like watching a reserve game, with no atmosphere or good football to watch. Only when Shilton came on did we look threatening.
Lormor needs service, and so far we've failed to give him any.
Once again Westwood was man of the match, with the performances he's putting in, no doubt a bigger club will come in.
At the final whistle I felt as though we'd lost and this made the (delayed) seven- hour train journey back home even longer.
John Rooke,
Hartlepool
