ONE of Britain's most notorious prisoners is reported to be planning to appeal against her conviction from her cell at Durham Jail.
Rosemary West's case sent shockwaves around the world when she was convicted in 1995 for the murder of ten young women at her Cromwell Street home in Gloucester.
West is reported to claim the murders were carried out and the bodies buried in the garden and cellar by her husband, Fred, without her knowledge.
Now she intends to convince the Criminal Cases Review Commission to investigate her case and return it to the Court of Appeal.
The move comes after West, 46, has been having counselling and specialist therapy.
A spokesman for the Prison Service said they were unable to comment on individual prisoner's cases
