YOUNG people in Middlesbrough are being offered the chance to sample something of what their area has to offer.
Middlesbrough Borough Council's arts development team is looking for 18 to 21 year-olds who are in employment, to take part in a project called Routes, which will give them the opportunity to visit various arts events, free of charge, between September and December.
Arts development officer, Jenny Hall said: "This is a great opportunity for young people to explore the arts and perhaps try something new without incurring any cost.
"There's lots going on in Middlesbrough in the arts field and who knows, one visit to an event may lead to a lifetime's passion."
Admission charges to the arts events will be waived and any reasonable costs of travel will be reimbursed. Anyone taking part in the project will need to attend two meetings - one before the visit and one after.
For more information or for an application form contact Jenny Hall on (01642) 315244.
