Easington came from two goals down to stun Seaham Red Star by 3-2 on Saturday.
Last year's runners up seemed to have the points wrapped up when they took a 2-0 lead just after half time.
Maurice Hilton scored his first goal for the club with a left-foot shot, then David Ross added a second after Easington's defence was caught flat footed.
However, Easington hit back in style. Christian Robson headed in an Andy Allen cross after 66 minutes, then David Black latched on to a through ball to beat Paul Gilmore. With a minute remaining, Ian Matthews fired the winner from an Allen pass.
Easington manager Wilf Constantine said: "I thought we were the stronger side in the last 15 minutes, but we didn't play too well in the first half. Another 37 points then I'll be happy!"

And Crook's hopes of a point were dashed in stoppage time when Laidler controlled a long ball from the right and beat Gary Mundell, who was then sent off for swearing. McGinlay made sure of the points with a header from David Hagan's cross.
