A CHARITY in Sunderland is hoping to raise vital funds through a competition - by offering season tickets for deadly rivals Newcastle United as first prize.
But callers to the Mental Health Matters winning hot-line have been let down by their knowledge of the Magpies.
Only one person has answered correctly all three questions based on the history of the club.
The questions are: What is the name of Newcastle's ground? What year was the club formed? What is the date of Newcastle's largest recorded league defeat and who were their opponents?
Callers answering correctly could win a pair of Platinum Club season tickets worth more than £1,000.
Pat Tatters, fundraising manager for the charity, said: "Most people feel confident that they have questions one and two correct, but we have deliberately made one of the questions quite difficult to ensure that only a real fan will be the winner."
Mental Health Matters provides support and services for more than 1,000 people suffering from mental ill health.
It is a national charity and has 52 projects running across the North-East.
The competition closes at 5pm, on Friday, October 13, and if there is more than one correct entry a tie-breaker will take place.
To enter call 0906 5533445. Calls cost £1 a minute and should not last longer than three minutes.
The winner will be notified by post before October 27.
