POLICE are still appealing for witnesses to a brick attack on Tyneside last month.
A 22-year-old man was hit on the head by a full house brick thrown from the Tyne Bridge on August 4.
He was queueing with friends outside the Tuxedo Princess leisure ship, moored at Gateshead, when clubbers were showered with objects hurled 200ft from a tower on the bridge.
Detectives investigating the attack say they are still keen to speak to a woman seen talking to a man on the bridge between 11.30pm and 11.40pm.
They talked briefly about going to a nightclub before going their separate ways.
The man was in his late 20s, 6ft, of average build, with short fair hair, and spoke with a Tyneside accent.
Detective Inspector Brian Gaff said: "We believe that this woman could be an important witness, so we are asking her, or anyone who thinks they might know her, to contact us."
The victim has been discharged from Newcastle General Hospital and is continuing to recover at home in Manchester.
Anyone with information should contact Newcastle CID on 0191-454 7555.
