PUPILS at Roseberry Comprehensive School, Newfield, near Chester-le-Street have improved on last year's good GCSE results, with some outstanding individual performances.
Katherine Briggs achieved four A* and six passes at A grade; Rebecca, Tyson achieved three A*, five As and one B; Rosamunde Vidler achieved two A* grades, five As, one B and one C.
Deborah Jackson achieved three A* grades, two As, three Bs and one C; Natalie Suchdev achieved two A*s, four As and three Bs; Mark Hunt gained five As, one B and three C grades and Kevin Mulvey gained five As, two Bs and two Cs.
Many others achieved beyond expectations, and deserve credit for their efforts which will stand them in good stead for the sixth form.
A total of 59 students gained five or more passes at A* to C, representing 35.5 per cent of the year group, which was up by 2.4 per cent on last year.
Almost 93 per cent achieved five or more A* to G passes, and 95.8 per cent gained one or more passes.
