REVAMPED waiting rooms have been unveiled at a North-East railway station.
The passenger lounges - for both first class and standard passengers - between platforms one and four at Darlington's Bank Top station.
Part of a £9m package of station improvements at key GNER stations along the East Coast main line, the new-look lounges allow passengers to wait in comfort for their trains.
First class travellers can take advant-age of complimentary teas, coffees and soft drinks, while the standard lounge has a drinks/food vending machine.
GNER's Michael Hampson said: "Darlington is an important station for GNER and our passengers, and opening of these new lounges reflects our continuing commitment to improving the service we provide on stations and trains.
