PEOPLE are coming together in County Durham to share experiences about developing their communities.
The Connecting Communities Festival will take place at Collingwood College, Durham City, on Saturday, September 30, from 10.30am to 4pm.
Workshops, entertainment, displays, activities, demonstrations, crche facilities and lunch will be on offer, all free to community groups.
Workshop sessions include fundraising ideas, play areas and community parks, conservation, waste recycling, information sharing and use of the Internet.
Groundwork West Durham and Groundwork East Durham are providing two free minibuses to transport people from Durham railway and bus stations to Collingwood College.
The mini-buses will also travel from Bishop Auckland and Easington.
