RUNNERS representing a Darlington hospice are limbering up for the Great North Run.
St Teresa's Hospice fundraiser Julia Whiteley and Angela Bailes, another supporter of the charity, will take part in the event on October 22.
They will be among seven runners who have signed up to run the half-marathon for the hospice, and are seeking sponsors.
Hospice director Jane Bradshaw said: "St Teresa's Hospice wants to support them in any way it can, and will be sending along as many non-running supporters as possible to cheer them along at the event.
"We are keen to encourage any runners entered for this year's race who would like to run for charity, to run for the Darlington hospice.
"Hospice fundraiser David Jones can be contacted on (01325) 254321 for further information.
