A NATIONALLY-acclaimed pool player joined a pub competition winner for a game.
Lee "The Fox" Kendall, who is the England pool team captain and the UK's number two player, visited the Smiths Arms, Billingham, for a frame or two against one lucky player. The Smiths Arms won the celebrity pool night in the qualifying rounds of a competition, organised by Strongbow and Banks. Lee selected one of the pub teams to challenge to a game, and Ross Richardson stepped up to give "The Fox" a run for his money.
Pub manageress Gillian Pearson said: "It was one of the best nights we've had. It was such a success that it generated enough interest to create a second team for the inter-pub competitions."
