DINERS were evacuated from a smoke-filled restaurant when fire gutted its kitchens.
Staff at Pinnochio's Pizzeria, in Harrogate, raised the alarm after smoke was spotted coming from ducting in the early evening.
Firefighters were called to the incident and about seven tables of diners were evacuated from the building.
Sub-officer David Graham said: "The kitchen was seriously damaged by the fire, which started in ducting on the ground floor.
"The first floor room above, which is used for preparation, was also severely damaged.
"We had the fire under control in half-an-hour, but there were still small pockets of fire which required some cutting away of ceilings and beams to get to the hot spots."
