AN artist's impressions of his coast-to-coast walk are going on display in a North Yorkshire town today.
Well-known Cumbria artist Peter Slater relived the 190-mile trek from St Bees on the west coast to Robin Hood's Bay - which he completed during the summer - by painting a series of images from along the route.
His efforts, which include scenes of Richmond Castle and Gunnerside, now form an exhibition, which is being displayed at the King's Head Hotel, in Richmond.
The 35 paintings in the exhibition match up with a tour guide produced for visitors, which details important landmarks along the walk.
Peter said: "I really enjoyed the walk and I got to relive it many times over through these paintings."
The display of scenes he passed is open to the public until Sunday.
