REMEDIAL therapist Jenny Grogan will be running a series of courses in Darlington, starting this month. In addition to being a relaxing experience massage therapy is used in many medical practices and hospitals.
The Hollytree School of Complementary Therapies offers part time, professional training courses, validated by the International Therapy Education Council, (ITEC) at the Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College, Darlington.
There is a Foundation Diploma course of 50 hours in Anatomy and Physiology. This qualification is required by ITEC for entry to other courses, including Reflexology.
A Foundation Diploma course of 102 hours in Anatomy, Physiology and Body Massage. This qualification is externally examined by ITEC and the Diploma is recognised nationally and internationally as a professional qualification.
An Aromatherapy Diploma Course of 80 hours will start in January 2001.
A Reflexology Diploma Course of 50 hours will start in November.
All students must be 18 or over on completion of all courses.
The ITEC Anatomy, Physiology and Body Massage Diploma is required by ITEC for entry to the Aromatherapy Course.
