A NOSTALGIC exhibition has been launched at Durham County Hall.
Flashback is billed as a celebration of elderly people's lives and features memorabilia collected by residents and staff in the county's care homes.
Six scenes have been created including those devoted to childhood and growing up; getting married; family life and the Second World War.
The exhibition, officially unveiled this week, has been organised by Create, County Durham Care's activities service, and is sponsored by the Durham branch of Unison. It is being held in the Durham Room, County Hall, until Thursday, September 14, from 8.30am to 5.30pm. Entry is free.
June Alderson-Heil, of Create, said: "It should be fascinating for older and younger generations alike who will get the opportunity to see unusual memorabilia that has been hidden away for years."
