Crook professional Shahid Anwar has given his side a boost as they try lift the title on a nail-biting last day today.
Anwar has agreed to return to Crook for a fourth season and he'll be hoping to end this one on a triumphant note with victory at Ushaw Moor.
But Crook must rely on Esh Winning beating Leadgate, as the champions have an 11-point lead.
Crook spokesman Dave Greener said; "The club feels it's going in the right direction, and we're delighted that Shahid has agreed to return.
"We'll be going all out for a win today but I bet a few people might be nipping over to Esh Winning to see what's happening."
Crook will be at full strength, while Ushaw Moor welcome back skipper Micky Hayton.
Leadgate, meanwhile, have been boosted by the news that professional Bilal Rana has signed on for next summer and are expected to be at full strength at Esh, who are missing Ian Dixon and Danny Lewis, so David Watson and Paul Raynor replace them.
