RESIDENTS are being given the chance to have their say in spending £7m to regenerate West Redcar.
The money, from round six of the Government's Single Regeneration Budget, has been won in a successful bid by the Redcar and Cleveland Partnership. The partnership, a mix of public, private and voluntary organisations across the borough, wants to establish a priority group that would incorporate local residents.
The recruiting drive is targeting residents from the west Redcar wards - Kirkleatham, Dormanstown, Coatham and Newcomen.
The aim is to enlist 16 people. There are no formal qualifications or skills needed, only a commitment to community regeneration. It will involve two evening meetings a month, with reimbursement for expenses.
For details contact policy officers Wendy Kelly or Ian Cockerill on (01642) 444547 or (01642) 444529 at the Town Hall, Fabion Road, South Bank. The closing date for applications is Friday
