A BOOKLET highlighting part of the North-East's Anglo-Saxon heritage has been launched.

Anglo-Saxon Teesside has been produced by Tees Archaeology, a service funded by Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Stockton and Redcar and Cleveland councils.

Peter Rowe, of Tees Archaeology, said: "We've put together the booklet to explain what life was like on Teesside 1,500 years ago."

For a copy, send a cheque for £1, including postage and packing, made payable to Hartlepool Borough Council, to Tees Archaeology at Sir William Gray House, Clarence Road, Hartlepool, TS24 8BT.
