Guisborough Photographic Society is throwing open the shutters to invite new members at the start of its new programme.
The group for amateur photographers has been running in Guisborough for almost 50 years and currently has 30 members.
It meets every Thursday at 7.15pm at Sunnyfield House on Westgate in Guisborough.
Chairman Rick Singleton was due to open the new season yesterday.
He said that developments in digital photography have been included more prominently in the programme of events.
Members are currently holding an exhibition at Stokesley Library until Saturday, September 23, when the exhibition will switch to Great Ayton.
Anyone interested in joining the society should call Rick on (01642) 480049.
