The Darlington Building Society NYSD League lost by six wickets to the Derbyshire County Premier League at Queen's Park, Chesterfield, on Sunday in the final of the President's Trophy.
Most of the visitors' total of 187 for five came from Martin Hood who recorded six boundaries in his 65 compiled from 105 deliveries while Stephen Chapman stroked one six and five fours in 42.
Replying, the Derbyshire team were given the perfect send-off when openers John Truman (53) and Adrian Marsh (70) added 113 for the first wicket and despite James Beaumont conceding 21 runs in ten overs, Derbyshire won with seven balls remaining.
l The Foster's Northumberland Tyneside Senior League defeated the Boddington's Durham Coast League by six wickets when they met at Whitburn in the final of the KV Computer Services Cup. Alan Mustard top scored with 77 in the Coast League total of 176 for nine while Stuart Graham (46) and David Scott (58no) led the visitors to a comprehensive victory.
l A replay will be necessary to settle the outcome of the Bob Nicholson Cup final after Bill Quay and South Hetton made identical scores at Hylton.
Ray Bainbridge (31) was the lead runmaker when South Hetton posted 146 all out and for Bill Quay Ian Gutteridge, Anthony Trotter and Stephen Ellwood all took two wickets.
In reply Bill Quay's hopes were pinned on David Donnison, but he was bowled by Stephen White after making 41. Gutteridge added a valuable 25 and when the last over started Bill Quay still required six runs.
A single was still needed off the last ball but William Mogie was run out and Bill Quay were dismissed for 146 with Craig Brammer taking three for 25 and White four for 26.
l Blackhall easily won the Smith Humphrey Cup, defeating Mainsforth by ten wickets when Mark Cushlow captured five for 29 helping dismiss the visitors for 70 runs. John Darby carried his bat for 38 and Marc Hopkinson finished unbeaten on 32 as Blackhall hurried to victory
