SOLDIERS and civilians join-ed forces at the weekend in an effort to clear up Coronation Park, one of Catterick Garrison's main recreational areas.
The "community work day" set out to create a safe and environmentally-friendly park for the local community.
The Commander of Catterick Garrison, Colonel Nick Gaskell, said the day had provided the ideal opportunity to improve conditions in the park. "The Garrison has prided itself for some years now on improving the quality of life, not only for servicemen and women, but the local community as well and recent developments have shown our commitment to that philosophy," he said.
