CHILDREN from Darlington will be performing at the Millennium Dome next month.
Talented youngsters from around the town will be in London to take part in the McDonalds Our Town Project.
The group of 50 pupils, aged from 11 to 18, who all attend Darlington schools, displayed their talents in front of an audience at Darlington Civic Theatre last night, in preparation for their day at the Millennium Dome on October 12.
The performance, which lasts about 30 minutes, features songs, dances, drama and movement, and conveys the youngsters' thoughts about Darlington.
The show includes references to the railways and to the telecommunications business in the town, and features a dance with mobile telephones.
Every local education authority in the country has been invited to send children to the Dome to perform as part of the Our Town Project.
