A PROSTITUTE told a jury at Teesside Crown Court yesterday that she knew nothing about sex sessions involving two schoolgirls at her home.

Carol Smith, 40, a prostitute for 20 years, said that she never told either of the girls that she was "on the game".

It is alleged by the prosecution that Smith incited them to take part in sexual activity with one of her long-standing clients, who has since died.

Smith told the jury: "I never talked to them about sexual matters. I never told them what my business was".

She denied being paid £40 for the girls to commit sex acts with her client, or handing them £10 each.

Smith, of Douglas Street, Middlesbrough, pleaded not guilty to six counts of indecent assault by encouraging the girls to take part in sex sessions with her client.

Judge John Walford directed the jury to return a not guilty verdict on a count of indecency with a third girl by asking her to take part with the client
