A QUIZ to raise money to help children with a disease runs until the end of the month.
The challenge has been launched in aid of the European Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva Association and the quiz sheet is available from JM and S greengrocers in Northallerton, Harriet's dress shop in Thirsk, and the East Cowton post office and stores.
All proceeds are going towards research into fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva (FOP), a disease which gradually leaves children disabled as their muscle turns into bone.
The quiz has been organised by Veronica Piekosz, who said: "My nephew Richard has FOP and it is heartbreaking to see him becoming less able to move as he grows up.
"We hope that a treatment will soon be available to stop him getting any worse."
The fund is registered with Hambleton District Council, and anyone wanting to help with fundraising can contact Veronica on (01609) 881659
