A CANCER charity is offering people in North Durham and Sunderland a day out at the races.
Marie Curie Cancer Care is running a bus trip to York Races, on Saturday, October 7. It will pick up passengers at Sunderland, Chester-le-Street and Durham.
The bus will arrive at the course at 11.30am, and race-goers will be able to enjoy a day in the Tattersalls Stand.
The charity's fundraising coordinator, June Tweddle, said: "This promises to be a wonderful day out.
"All the money raised will be used to support the Marie Curie nurses who care for cancer patients in their own homes.
"This service is provided free of charge and we rely solely on voluntary support to continue this important work."
Tickets cost £25. For details and to book, call June or Carol at Marie Curie Cancer Care on 0191-382 3312.
