NATIONAL Park bosses have published an information pack explaining the types of developments allowed in the Yorkshire Dales.
The area's Local Plan Project Brief was released yesterday, and has been designed to inform the public about the review process under way to update the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority's Local Plan.
The plan is used to guide decisions on planning applications and illustrate the types of developments permitted in the National Park.
The authority's strategic planning officer, Nicola Drummond, said: "The Local Plan Project Brief is an important publication that will inform people about the Local Plan review process.
"It outlines what the Local Plan is, how it will look, why it is needed, how it is to be prepared and indicate when public consultation on the different stages is likely to happen."
The document will be sent out to all parish councils and interested groups, and will be available at all National Park offices and centres. Anyone wanting a copy can telephone (01969) 650456.
