NYACC League
THE closely-fought North Yorkshire Area Cricket Council U11s Cricket League was decided at a play-off between Marske C.C. and Nunthorpe C.C., who had identical records: played 10, won 7, drawn 0, lost 3, points 48.
The match was played at Nunthorpe's ground last Thursday but Marske took the trophy, which was presented by League Chairman Colin Goldsbrough.
Nunthorpe had won the toss and put Marske in to bat. The visiting side made 249 for 2 (233 net) with Dean Heslop top scoring with 10*.
The home side looked comfortable at 12 for 0 after 5 overs but then lost 3 wickets in 3 overs, all stumpings by wicketkeeper Tom Graham off the bowling of Chris Bartram. Gratton, Heslop and Lince then added a wicket each and Nunthorpe ended on 252 for 6 (204 net).
Marske won by 29 runs
