BURGLED businesses may yet be able to reclaim stolen equipment.
Langbaurgh CID has recovered electrical goods, power tools, compact discs and light plant equipment after cracking down on crooks who travel into the area to carry out burglaries.
The seized stash has come from Teesside, North Yorkshire and South Durham. It was recovered as a result of a police operation code named Slam.
Detective Sergeant Chris Sadler, of East Cleveland CID, said: "We are literally slamming the door on criminals who come to the Redcar and Cleveland Borough to commit burglary.
"Anyone who thinks that the area of an easy touch is badly mistaken. We will pursue criminals from where they came and lock them up."
Anyone who thinks some of the stolen property may belong to them can call at Redcar Police Office, or ring (01642) 302020 during office hours to view the property.
