TWENTY volunteers from St John Ambulance helped ensure no disasters befell those at the Darlington Dog show.
The service had a presence at the show in a caravan loaned by Darlington Lions Club.
Volunteers said they had dealt mainly with cuts and bruises, and also blistered feet.
First aider Judith Barnett said: "We have not lost any dogs or any children fortunately, but we cannot wind down until everyone has finished.
"We have been coming here a lot of years and are always the last to leave at the end of the day.
"There are lots of incidents which, at the time, you think nothing of, but some are quite funny.
"Last year we had a corgi that was on the loose and bit a policeman on the chin.
