A TEENAGER'S quick-thinking saved a mother-of-two from her burning house.
Chris Conlin, 14, kicked down the door of his neighbour's home in Costa Street, Middlesbrough, after spotting a door handle move and realising someone must be trapped inside.
As smoke billowed from the house, Chris and neighbour Scott Hunter grabbed Anne-Marie Fallon and dragged her to safety.
Ms Fallon's two children, Gavin, 18, and Craig, 15, were not in the house when the blaze started at about 5pm last Thursday. Details of the fire have only just emerged.
The house is now boarded up and the Fallon family have moved to alternative accommodation. Meanwhile, relatives and friends have set up a fund to raise money to help the familyget back on their feet.
A fire brigade spokesman said the blaze was believed to have been caused by a faulty electric fire
