MILITARY history is to be put under a brighter spotlight at Catterick Garrison library.
The library is looking to raise interest in its military collection, which includes hundreds of books, covering subjects such as regimental histories, battles and campaigns, and military biographies.
The books are available for loan or for viewing at the library's study space.
Group librarian Rosemary Bullimore said: "We were living in Malton when my daughter was studying for her A-levels.
"But books from the Catterick collection were very necessary to the completion of Kate's individual project, which carried 30 per cent of the marks.
"She gained an A, and I'm sure others could too."
Students can either consult the books at Catterick library or order titles through their local library.
