BLockade the Vic , hold a public inquiry, this was a scandal. Pools should have been 6-0 up before the Silkmen scored. Domination for 70 minutes, defence solid, chances created, Shilton scores wonder goal and then we sit back, start making substitutions to waste time and let the visitors back into it. This was two points criminally thrown away and I defy Turner to disagree.
Peter Wilkinson,
TWO-UP and 15 to go, Pools should have been crusing. Yet, somehow, it got away. Turner has to instill the quality of killing the game when we look in command instead of trying to defend. If his frustration at this performance is the same as the majority of fans, well that's fine, but if he's settling for throwing points away he should think again. We're not going anywhere if we can't make the Vic into the fortress it should be. It's going to be an expensive season if we have to travel away to see us win!

Disappointing result, but the performance was far from it. A 5-0 scoreline wouldn't have looked out of place, and Macc used their get out of jail free card. We created - for the first time this season - chance after chance, with Stevo the best on the park. For the first time in a while the visiting keeper earned his wages at the Vic.
