ETHNIC communities in one part of the North-East have been given the opportunity to voice their views on the quality of council services.
As part of its drive to ensure best value for council tax payers, Darlington Borough Council organised a consultation afternoon, and invited members of the borough's ethnic communities to the Gladstone Street Activity Centre.
Council officials were questioned about the quality of the services they provided and issues including the protection of the elderly and people with disabilities from harm and abuse.
Interpreters in Arabic, Bengali, Cantonese, Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu attended the event on Sunday, to act as translators where necessary
