THE future and the past were themes in stark contrast for the opening night of the week-long Sedgefield Drama Festival of one act plays in the parish hall on Monday.
For the 25th anniversary of the festival, the youth section of Sedgefield Players had the honour of opening the event with You, Me and Mrs Jones, by Tony Horitz.
The second play of the evening was The Occasional Theatre Company's The Last Curtain, by Alan Butler, which looking back to the great days of music hal. The prolonged ovation at the end was justly deserved for a brilliant performance.
