FROM Russia with Love comes a teacher preparing to share the secrets of her language with interested students.

Nina Sampson, 27, was born and brought up in St Petersburg but now lives in Guisborough after a whirlwind holiday romance brought her to her husband Robert's home town.

Now she is preparing to offer her services as a Russian linguist and says people planning to visit Russia on holiday or people from Teesside's industrial base planning on doing business in the former Communist country might benefit from her inside knowledge.

And Nina tailors her course specifically for the individual student's needs, meaning some people come to her house and have one to one lessons for a few weeks while others come for a much longer period of time.

Nina has set up her own teaching and translating service from her home in the town's Avon Drive and has grown fond of her new British home town.

"It is lovely I like it a lot," she said. "It is nice and quiet and the people are very friendly and it is a very nice community to be among. In St Petersburg you are one of a community of five million people which can be a quite hostile environment."
