FOOD deliveries to homeless people on Wearside are in doubt after thieves stole a van belonging to a Sunderland charity.
The white Transit van, which is also used by the Lazarus Foundation to delivery furniture to hard-up families, was taken from Cairo Street, Hendon, at 3pm on Wednesday, while a bed was being delivered.
Charity bosses said the theft would make it a struggle to get vital help to people who rely on the organisation
